OM Light of Consciousness - Vedic Science and Quantum Physics

The light of consciousness is a subtle light. Not the physical light as in sunlight, or fire, but a subtle light unseen by physical eyes. However; physical light is used to represent consciousness, as in the ancient traditions like Sanatan Dharma. Light is self-luminous and doesn't need anything external to illumine it. Sun represents consciousness at the macro-level in space, as Brahman, and therefore many references to the Sun in ancient scriptures. Fire represents consciousness on the micro-level on earth as in Atma, and this is the basis of the fire rituals. Vedic rituals are meant to emulate cosmic processes, and to promote positive flow of cosmic energies.

There is the physical body and creation and then there is the subtle form. The subtle forms consists of the triad: Sound, Light and Vibrations. Vibration of Om, is the original cause, the source, the first in the process of creation and the basis of creation as it exists. Om is also sound and light. It is a triad. So what seems as space is beeming with the unseen light of consciousness and Om. Those with subtle vision (Divya chakshu) can see, hear, and feel it.

Vedic Science:
Here is something amazing I read when learning Vaastu from lessons on this website talking about the Chidambaram temple (http://www.vastu-design.com/seminar/2b.php):

"Om-sound is the basis for all the audible words and sound forms. Om-light is the basis for all the material objects seen through the eyes. The form of Nataraja is not an imagined one and it is the first manifestation of the primal light. The Dance of Light (Lord Nataraja--the dancing Shiva).

Space is luminous-space. The single 'Substance', know as Vastu Brahman, which is consciousness itself. getting kindled and excited of its own accord, extends everywhere...and is know as Light-space. The name of the energetic atom is paramanu, according to Vaastu traditon. We cannot see this paramanu but we could feel it...The Vastu Shastra states that the paramanu, which is not ordinarily visable to the physical eyes, is visible to the perfect yogins. Paramanu is an existential substance. Paramanu is Vastu. The literal meaning of the term Vastu is ‘the existing substance' or 'eternal substance’.

For something to exist is must have three dimensions. Sthapati says that space is filled with 'space-atoms'. These atoms are also three dimensional. The tri-dimensional atom is cubic in form. It’s sides have equal dimensions.

Within this cubical atom there is a luminous thread, like a filament in a bulb and it is always dancing there...To this light thread...the tradtition of Vastu science has given a significant name - Brahma Sutra! (the thread of light or consciousness) Vastu science has rendered another ...name also to the luminous thread wihich is dancing rhythmically within the cubical atom. The name is ‘Luminous Nataraja’...the dance of Light... This luminous thread is the basic source of cosmic effulgence. The cubical effulgence of the atom is called ‘lumonous atom’...know as ‘microbode’ (cubical cell). It is described as OM-light. The Mundakopanisad provides a wonderful description about this:

‘There the sun does not shine, nor the moon, nor the stars; nor do the flashes of lightning shine there. If so how can this fire shine even? Everything shines forth only after this and because of this; by this light all things shine forth diversely.’

The ‘OM’ in its aural and luminous streams rises above and above...and turns itself into the universe. These risings, or surges and transformations, we the Vaastu vedins ... call Omkara natana.

Consciousness turns into light and the conscious luminous atom splits of its own accord, melts like a wax, assumes a form compatible and relevant to its feeling or consciousness, rises above and transforms itself on and on. Whenever we speak impelled by consciousness ... the luminous atom splits itself, melts, takes aform gets integrated again and becomes one, splits again and so on. This process of word and deed - sound and acton - is called the Creation. the minutest subtle atom, paramanu, feels or experiences an urge, splits up and manifests as a continuous form through our mouth or our hands.

The cubical form is the intrinsic form assumed by paramanu when it is in its own innate state of tranquillity. This state is called ‘sattvika’. Sattvika means state of calmness. To bring a form into existence ...action or effort is essential. Our inner space has to shift itself from the state of calmness to the state of action. In this process of transformation the cubical prism first assumes the octogonal form and finally the spherical form....These two forms that have undergone transformation owing to the changes in quality are called rajasa and tamasa respectively. Tamasic state is the final state or the gross state of energy-space...Tamasic world means gross world, ...full of gross, concrete and perfect forms." [Rest you can read from this web page.]

Quantum Physics
What I found amazing is a talk by Quantum Physicist, Dr. Wolf. I've transcribed a talk he gave on his book, "time Loops and Space Twists" and the God Particle. Here is a snippet [If you are interested I can email you the entire talk or the link to the audio]:

"Quantum – Study of light on atomic level led to finding that light was not waves but ended in lumps of light, not continuous, at the atomic level.

Time & Space: Fundamental units of matter grouped into “fermions” and other is “boson”. Fermions are particles with property of half spin (spin one half). Boson property made of one spin. These particles are not matter, but light particles, they move at the speed of light. There's fermion light and boson light. Fermions light not normal light like Boson light, it is zigzagging in space and time, creating space and time [Natraj?].

When [Fermions] zigzagging in space maybe interact with something to turn and zigzag, a field, a Higg’s field, slows down and makes matter, quarks and leptons.

What’s special about light particles? Einstein proved about light always moves at the same speed, whether going towards it or away from it – not relative speed, space and time must change to accommodate light speed so it be the same. It was an astounding discovery. So space and time are not the arena or primary, a construction from light. Light is the big guy that makes space and time. When moving at speed of light, there is no space, no time. For light, time and space is one, not separate, nothing is moving, not increasing or decreasing. For light the whole universe is a doteverything is one. We are on the slower than light side of the wall and therefore move and think within time and space, we can measure time and space. For light space and time don’t exist, they come into existence from light. “You are a body of light interacting with the mind of God”.

How does time and space disappear or come into being. In the beginning there was no space time or matter. Because the beginning was light, Higg’s field. Fermions zigzag in time, they are a mirror of zigzag and they become faster than light. So a mind like activity must take place faster than light. Zigzagging in time, they are the mental activity, that’s mind. The universe is a mind, our mind is taking part. Electrons in the brain, gate molecules, etc. We are not matter, we are made of light, half spin zigzag fermion light, zigzagging in the mind of God, zigzagging fermions field in time, for mind activity. Quantum field theory, there must be faster than light somethings in the universe, it’s mind like. You need faster than light to make mind activity. Something else happens in slower than lightwhich is necessary to make sense of the world, which is causality, if we do something now we can make estimation effect in future, or current’s cause in the past as detective. In slower than light there is a logical pattern and sequence, can’t happen when going faster than light, only when slower than light."

Standard Model and Vedic Model
Now compare this to the Standard Model (image below). See the significance of 3 in the model. Also, 3 quarks are needed for the creation of an atom. There is a great co-relation with the Vedic science of creation.

I found this topic very interesting, as well as the co-relation of Vedic science and modern quantum physics, and therefore wanted to share it with you.

“…we tend to see hydrogen as just dead, material, odourless, colourless stuff. But from an evolutionary perspective, we realize that if you just take hydrogen, and you leave it alone it eventually turns into a human. To me, it suggests that if human are spiritual beings, then hydrogen is somehow spiritual too.” (Brian Swimme, Cosmologist)

    A. MACROCOSMIC LEVEL
    1. “Earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, reason, and also ego; these constitute My nature divided into eight parts. This indeed my lower nature; other than this, by which the whole universe is sustained know it to be My higher (or Spiritual) nature in the form of jive (the life principle)….. all beings have evolved from this twofold prakriti, and that I am the source of entire creation, and into me again it disappears.” (Lord Krishna)

    2. “The current descending some distance and focusing ………., it brought some creation (Agam Lok, Alakh Lok & Sat Lok) into existence. The process of creation stopped at this stage and for a considerable time this was the entire creation.

THE CURRENT MENTIONED IN THE PRECEDING PARAGRAPH IS EXTREMELY SUBTLE AND IT CANNOT BE SEEN IN ANY MANNER NOR CAN ONE HAVE ANY IDEA OF ITS FORM.” (His Holiness Huzur Maharaj, 18 - 1898, 2nd Spiritual Head of Radhasoami Faith)

    3. “Below this Region, during second phase of creational process, the two Kalas viz., Niranjan (Invisible Force Current) and Jyoti (Electromagnetic Force) together evolved the creation of five Tattwas (elements), four Khans (species, categories of life) and three Gunas (qualities). Then Niranjan separated Himself from the rest, putting the burdens of looking after the creation on them. Nobody could know of Niranjan. Only they made conjectures.” (His Holiness Soamiji Maharaj, Founder of Radhasoami Faith)

Invisible Force and Gravitation Force have identical characteristics.

    4. According to Radhasoami FAITH THE UNIVERSE (MACROCOSM) has been divided into three Grand Divisions –
    (a) Pure Spiritual Region – Region of pure spirit or pure consciousness
    (b) In the second grand division both Spirit Force and Material Forces are manifest but spirit force predominates
    (c) In third grand division material forces predominate over spirit force. Spirit force is very feeble in this region.

There are many subdivisions in each grand division. Every subdivision has its own level of consciousness.
Gravitation Force is the strongest force on black holes and weakest on Earth Planet.

    B. MICROCOSMIC LEVEL
    1. “………… The human body provides the opportunity for going down into life forms of animals, birds, vegetables etc. and go further down into metals or go up from the human form and attain the status of gods etc. and then become one with God.” (Sir Sahabji Maharaj (1881-1937), 5th Spiritual Head of Radhasoami Faith)

In other words metal and God and other intermediary stages, all have consciousness, although different from each other.

    2. Maharshi Mahesh Yogi (1975) had described seven levels of consciousness. Each level of consciousness has different values of Physiology.

    3. Swami Niranjananand Saraswati (2006) says: “Human beings are composed of two forces; prana-the cosmic energy, and consciousness-the evolving energy.” Thus consciousness is constantly evolving.

    4. “……..only some aspects of the consciousness of the CE (Consciousness Element) are accessible through physical measurements. The main instrument capable of sensing any feature of CE or deriving some properties of it is the mind of a sentient entity.” (Prof. Ashok Agarwal (2012))

Through spiritual practices (Meditation and Yoga) we may be able to have access at all levels of consciousness.

CONCLUSIVELY it can be stated, “Ek tattva ki pradhanta, kaho use jad ya chetan” (Jai Shankar Prasad).
(ONLY ONE ELEMENT PREDOMINATE, say it matter or consciousness). Thus consciousness is all that which exists- living or non-living.

Thus Living and Non-living needs to be redefined.
